# MissionFile

> The source of truth and trust for mission organizations. MissionFile keeps one approved record of a nonprofit, church, or ministry that the team uses and that AI tools read, so every chat, giving page, and campaign starts with accurate context. Launching Fall 2026. Made by Nonprofit Builders.

## What it is

- One central record of an organization: identity (legal name, EIN, budget, affiliations), mission and vision, voice and messaging, brand (colors, typefaces, logo rules), programs, impact numbers, leadership and staff, approved stories, and guardrails (preferred and avoided words, claims the organization never makes, AI use policy).
- Every detail carries its source and a review date. A person on the team approves each one. Numbers need a source before approval.
- Setup starts from what is already public: MissionFile reads the organization's website, public filing, and documents, and drafts the record with the sentence each detail came from.
- AI tools read the record live. Claude and ChatGPT connect through MCP (Model Context Protocol) as a custom connector and can read the record, search it, and check a draft against it. Tools see only approved, current details; details past their review date are held back with the name of the person who can update them.
- The Check reads any draft (appeal, grant section, caption) against the record and flags retired program names, numbers that match nothing approved, figures past their review date, and avoided words.
- Donor records and case files stay in the organization's CRM. Restricted details, such as names of field staff in sensitive places, never reach any connected tool.
- Records export as Markdown or JSON at any time.

## Who it is for

Nonprofits, churches, ministries and mission agencies, and the agencies and consultants who serve them. Typical users: executive directors and pastors, development and communications staff, grant writers, designers and volunteers, board members, and AI agents.

## Status and pricing

Launching Fall 2026. Waitlist and early access applications are open. Planned plans: try it free (a starter record built from the organization's website), Pro (live connections to Claude, ChatGPT, and more), and Team (whole teams and several organizations). Final pricing will be announced at launch.
