Launching Fall 2026

Tell your story once. Every tool remembers.

The source of truth and trust for mission organizations.

MissionFile builds one central record of who you are: your mission, brand, messaging, programs, impact numbers, people, and finances. Your team works from it, AI agents read it, and the tools you already use connect to it, so you stop pasting the same context into every chat, page, and campaign.

Sample organization

Works inside the tools you already use

The problem

Every new chat, page, and campaign starts from scratch.

Telling your story is hard enough. Telling it the same way across every tool is even harder.

Everyday AI work

You open Claude to write the year‑end letter.

So you paste in the mission, dig up last year's numbers, describe your voice, and explain who your executive director is. Tomorrow's chat starts from zero again.

A new giving page

You build a giving page on a new platform.

It asks for your mission, your impact, your logo and colors, and a line about what a gift does. Someone spends an afternoon hunting through old files for all of it.

Giving season

You launch the year‑end campaign across every channel.

Email, social, direct mail, the website banner, and the Canva kit, built by different people in different tools. By week two, the numbers and the story don't match.

Without one place that holds your context, every tool gets whatever someone pasted last, and you can't tell which version is right.

The solution

Built once from what you've published, used everywhere.

MissionFile gathers your organization's context into one record your team approves. Claude, ChatGPT, and the tools you connect read from it, so every chat, page, and campaign starts with the right information.

01

Start from what's out there

Type your website. MissionFile reads it, your public filing, and any document you add, then drafts your record with the sentence each detail came from.

02

Say yes once

Someone who knows the organization keeps what's right and sets a review date on anything that changes, like this year's numbers.

03

Use it where you work

Your team and your tools read the record live. When something changes, you change it once and skip the re-pasting.

04

Keep it true

When a number is due for review, MissionFile emails its owner one link. Until someone updates it, your tools skip it and name who can fix it.

What's inside

Your story, on file for every tool.

Most teams don't know what an AI tool needs until it gets something wrong. MissionFile starts with the full list and fills in what it can from what you've already published.

Made for AI

Give every AI tool one thing to read.

A donor asks ChatGPT about you before opening your site. A staff member pastes a paragraph into Claude. Your giving platform has an AI settings page. Each one works from whatever someone last gave it.

MissionFile gives all of them the same record, read live, with only what your team approved.

What every AI tool reads
  • Mission, vision, and programs
  • Voice, messaging, and words to avoid
  • Brand colors, type, and logo rules
  • Impact numbers, with sources
  • Leadership and staff
  • Stories you can tell
Claude ChatGPT Public page

The Check

Catch the old number before it goes out.

Paste any draft, whether an appeal, a grant section, a bulletin announcement, or a social caption, and the Check reads it against your record. It flags retired program names, numbers that match nothing you've approved, figures past their review date, and words you've chosen not to use.

It runs in MissionFile and inside Claude and ChatGPT, so your team checks the draft where they write it.

Spring appeal, draft 2

Last year, Foster Friends walked alongside 280 families, and together we rescued kids who had nowhere else to go.

  • Retired nameFoster Friends is now Family Circles.
  • No approved numberYour record says 312 families in 2025, from the annual report.
  • Avoided wordYour record prefers "welcomed" over "rescued."

Why a record

You need more than a paragraph in a ChatGPT project.

A saved prompt or a pasted about page works for one person trying things out. It stops working once a team and several tools depend on it.

Why I built it

For six years I sat inside a fundraising platform that more than 2,000 nonprofits relied on, and I watched this play out at nearly every one of them. I built MissionFile to be the record I wished each of them had.

Questions

What people ask before they start.

When does MissionFile launch?

Fall 2026. Join the waitlist and we'll send one email when it opens. If you'd like to start sooner, apply for early access and help us test and refine it as we build.

Can't we just paste our about page into ChatGPT or a Claude project?

For one person trying things out, that's a reasonable place to start. It holds up less well once a team and several tools depend on it.

A pasted paragraph is a snapshot. It doesn't know when a number went stale, it lives in one person's project, and it usually leaves out your brand, your people, and your guardrails. MissionFile stays live and shared: change a detail once and every connected tool reads the new one.

How much work is it to set up?

Type your website. MissionFile reads it, along with your public filing and any documents you add, and drafts the record with the sentence each detail came from. Someone who knows the organization looks it over and keeps what's right. MissionFile does most of the work before you open it.

What if we don't have any of this written down?

Plenty of organizations don't, and that's the reason to do it once. MissionFile starts from what's public and shows you the gaps: no approved number for last year, no brand colors on file, no current staff list. You fill them in as you go.

How does it work with Claude and ChatGPT?

MissionFile connects as a custom connector through MCP, the standard both assistants support. Once you connect it, the assistant can read your record, search it for a specific answer, and check a draft against it. It sees only what your team approved. You can see every read and disconnect in one click.

Is AI deciding what's true about us?

No. AI does the gathering and the first draft. A person on your team approves every detail, and numbers need a source before anyone can approve them. Connected tools only read what someone said yes to.

What about sensitive information?

Donor records, case files, and details about the people you serve stay in your CRM, where they belong. MissionFile holds what you say about yourself. You can keep details internal to your team, and no connected tool ever sees a restricted one, like the name of a field worker in a sensitive place.

Can we take our record with us?

Yes. Export it as Markdown or JSON any time.
